The Cartuja is plain outside and not plain inside. The church and especially the sacristy are covered in white and brown stucco worked into forms that stop looking like architecture and start looking like something grown.
⭐ It is the reason to come, and it is genuinely unlike anything in the centre. People who find Baroque excessive should still see this one, because it is excess with a plan.
⚠️ It is far enough out that people skip it. If you have a third day in Granada, this is what the third day is for.
Our tip
Save it for a morning when the Alhambra is fully booked. It is the best thing to do with a day you did not get a palace slot for.
