The view is the whole point — the Alhambra's full length side-on, the mountains behind, and the city dropping away below. It is the image of Granada and it costs nothing.
⚠️ Everyone knows. At sunset the terrace is packed, there are buskers, and getting a clear view means arriving well before the light goes.
⭐ The nearby Mirador de la Lona and the terraces further along the same ridge give a similar view with a fraction of the people. Ask nobody and just keep walking.
Our tip
Come at first light instead. The Alhambra faces roughly west, so morning gives you flat even light on it and an empty terrace.
